King Hezekiah was on his death bed and God's word came to him through the Prophet Isaiah asking him to set his house in order because his end was near.

It was in those final moments that Hezekiah prayed and pleaded with God to grant him an extension to his life. God graciously added fifteen more years to Hezekiah.

Every one of us are living as it were on God's gracious extensions. We can never take for granted our health, abilities and the breath we breathe.

Once we begin to understand and value this gift of life, we will love God with all our heart and serve Him with all our might.
