Riches and poverty are two ends of the spectrum. One is defined by the lack of basic necessities, and the other, by surplus and abundance.

Being poor makes one feel helpless, dependent, ostracized, and without the basic needs of life. On the other hand, riches can make one proud, self-engrossed, self-indulgent and create a sense of self-sufficiency that makes one believe they have no need for God.

A balance, is therefore what we should desire, and pray for. Godliness combined with contentment will teach us to have a right perspective on wealth, so we can be a blessing to others.

Have a wonderful day, knowing that true contentment comes from knowing that the Lord is with us, and He will take care of us.
